Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope this letter finds you well. As we head toward summer and much of what happened during the 2024 legislative session becomes history, I wanted to reach out and remind you that I’m still hard at work representing the people of the 17th District.

The 2024 legislative session ended two months ago but a lot happened during those 60 days. Please see my previous update for an in-depth recap of the session’s biggest stories. You can also read my end-of-session newsletter online by clicking here, and click here to see a session recap of Republican priorities.

Even though several good things happened this session, there are still many pressing issues we must address. That’s why I’ll be busy throughout the interim trying to make our state a better place to live for everyone in Washington, including increasing public safety, making life more affordable for all, and finding solutions for those suffering from substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health disorders.

Even though the Legislature won’t meet in Olympia again till the next session, Republicans are still doing everything we can to fix Washington.

Election-year Restrictions

I also want to bring something else to your attention. Due to election-year restrictions beginning on May 6, I will not be able to send you email updates until after the Secretary of State certifies the November general election results. In fact, all of my legislative communications will be limited or restricted over the next six months in compliance with state ethics laws.

However, I am still your full-time state representative, and you can definitely still touch base with me. I can respond to constituents who contact me throughout the year. I invite you to email, call, or send me a letter anytime. I will respond as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your input, and please continue reaching out

Again, as we turn our attention to the interim, I want you to know I will keep working for you throughout the remainder of this year and into 2025. Even though election-year restrictions will be in place, I will continue to be your voice in Olympia for the 17th District.

Click here to set up an in-person meeting with me. You can also contact me with questions, concerns, and input, so please continue reaching out. I look forward to meeting with you throughout the interim. The bottom line is my door is open and I’m here to listen. Thank you for trusting me.

It’s an honor to serve you.

Sincerely,

Paul Harris
